Which Table Capture are we comparing?

Table Capture by George Mike has a free version and paid Pro and Cloud features. Table Capture & Extractor, the extension on this website, includes direct Excel and CSV downloads in its current free release. This comparison is written by the Table Capture & Extractor publisher.

The feature split below follows the competitor’s Chrome Web Store description checked in September 2026. It is a feature comparison, not a hands-on benchmark. Plan details can change, so check the listing before subscribing.

Compare the workflow you actually need

For occasional file downloads, focus on capture accuracy and the output format. If your work depends on recurring refreshes or a particular site’s pagination, test those requirements separately.

When the free alternative is a reasonable fit

Try Table Capture & Extractor if you have a table open in Chrome, want to inspect or repair its cells, and need a downloadable workbook. There is no account step in that workflow. PDF parsing and export generation run locally.

A useful test is to capture the same report you handle every week. Count the rows, inspect the longest product name, and compare the final record with the source. The sample below is a quick first check, but it cannot establish compatibility with your dashboard.

When to keep your existing tool

Keep the tool that already handles your difficult source reliably. A free export is not a saving if you have to rebuild a report afterward. In particular, do not treat a manual Sheets paste as a substitute for a live connection.

Table Capture & Extractor does not currently promise automatic Sheets refreshes. Its Pro roadmap is separate from the free release. If a feature is planned, it should not decide your purchase or migration today.

Try a small migration before switching

Export one table with each tool and compare the actual cell values. Keep the original file until the replacement passes that check. If you rely on a scheduled report, also write down how it refreshes and who receives it.

For a one-off XLSX or CSV download, the free Extractor workflow may be all you need. For a recurring integration, compare the complete process, including the manual steps after export.
