Not every useful dataset arrives as tidy HTML. The extractor checks more than one source structure and gives you a repair surface when the page gets creative.

Table processing and file generation happen locally in Chrome. There is no account wall between capture and export.

The only planned exception is explicit: if you paste a PDF URL, the browser has to request that file. Local PDFs stay local.

Questions before you install

Can it extract tables that are not built with a table tag?

Yes. The extension also looks for repeating DIV layouts, ARIA grids, and tables inside open Shadow DOM roots. When a page is unusual, Table Studio gives you a place to fix the result before export.

Can I capture only part of a table?

Yes. Start cell range mode, then drag across the exact cells you want. You can inspect and edit that range before downloading it.

Does PDF extraction upload my file?

No. PDF parsing and file generation run locally in your browser. A network request is made only when you explicitly load a PDF from a URL.

Which export formats are included?

The current extension exports to Excel, CSV, the clipboard, Markdown, PNG, and PDF. JSON, Notion, Airtable, webhooks, history, and capture comparison are planned for Pro.
