From page to spreadsheet, without the cleanup detour.

Three steps, with a repair pass before anything leaves the browser.

  1. 1.0

    Capture what matters.

Pick a detected table, select a precise cell range, or open a PDF. The extractor preserves merged cells, links, and form values where the source provides them.

  2. 2.0

    Repair before you export.

Capture Score flags structural problems. Table Studio lets you find and replace values, sort columns, jump straight to issues, edit cells, remove bad rows, and check mismatched types.

  3. 3.0

Export in the format the job needs.

Send clean rows to Excel, CSV, JSON, or HTML, copy them to the clipboard, open Google Sheets ready to paste, keep a Markdown table, or turn the result into a PNG or PDF.

Built for the tables websites make difficult.

Not every useful dataset arrives as tidy HTML. The extractor checks more than one source structure and gives you a repair surface when the page gets creative.

Guides for the searches people actually make.

If you landed here from a messy paste into Excel, a PDF that will not convert cleanly, or a table stuck in an iframe, start with one of these.

A table extractor for work that starts in the browser.

Use the extension when copying and pasting would leave you with merged columns, missing links, broken dates, or hours of manual cleanup.

Research and market analysis

Collect pricing tables, public directories, comparison grids, schedules, and other structured information while keeping the source page close at hand.

Operations and reporting

Move supplier lists, order summaries, inventory tables, and recurring web reports into Excel or CSV, then validate the column types before sharing the file.

PDF data extraction

Open reports, statements, and specification sheets in the PDF capture workspace. Review each detected table and repair the rows that need attention.

Writing and documentation

Turn source tables into Markdown, copy clean TSV data, or save a visual PNG when the table needs to appear in documentation or a presentation.

Your tables do not need a round trip.

Table processing and file generation happen locally in Chrome. There is no account wall between capture and export.

The only planned exception is explicit: if you paste a PDF URL, the browser has to request that file. Local PDFs stay local.

Independent and free

Useful now. Better with your support.

Table Capture & Extractor is free while we learn which workflows matter most. If it saves you a cleanup session, you can help fund maintenance and the next round of features.

Questions before you install

Can it extract tables that are not built with a table tag?

Yes. The extension also looks for repeating DIV layouts, ARIA grids, tables inside open Shadow DOM roots, and tables nested in iframes. When a page is unusual, Table Studio gives you a place to fix the result before export.

Can I capture only part of a table?

Yes. Start cell range mode, then drag across the exact cells you want. You can inspect and edit that range before downloading it.

Does PDF extraction upload my file?

No. PDF parsing and file generation run locally in your browser. A network request is made only when you explicitly load a PDF from a URL.

Which export formats are included?

The current extension exports to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML, the clipboard, Markdown, PNG, and PDF. You can also copy TSV and open Google Sheets to paste. Notion, Airtable, webhooks, history, and capture comparison remain planned for Pro.
